Who is responsible?
Studio Timor is operated by N.H.D. Weistra and I.C. Beelen, Timorstraat 44, Groningen, the Netherlands. Privacy questions: info@studiotimor.nl.
Data we process
For a direct booking we may process your name, email address, phone number, stay dates, number of guests, booking reference, payment status and correspondence. Our hosting environment may process technical data such as IP address and browser information for security and technical operation.
Why we process data
We use personal data to check availability, create and perform the booking agreement, communicate about payment, arrival and stay (where useful also by phone or WhatsApp), keep our administration, handle questions or complaints, and protect the accommodation and website. The legal basis is, depending on the purpose, steps before or performance of a contract, a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in security and proper operation.
Payments and administration
Direct online payments are processed through Stripe. To process and administer the payment, we handle information such as the booking reference, amount due, currency and payment status. Stripe processes the payment details required for the chosen payment method. Studio Timor does not receive full card details.
Security cameras
Security cameras may be present around the entrance and premises of Studio Timor. There are no cameras in the private guest accommodation. Images are used only for security, incident prevention or investigation, and protection of people and property, and are retained no longer than necessary.
Sharing data
We share personal data only when necessary for our service or when legally required, for example with hosting and email providers, Stripe as our payment service provider, our bank, and accounting or technical service providers. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
We keep data no longer than necessary. Data forming part of financial or tax records may be retained for the applicable statutory period. Other booking and communication data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed for the stay, service, disputes or administration.
Email and marketing
Booking confirmations, payment information and practical stay messages are service emails. We do not automatically use your email address for newsletters or promotions. Marketing requires separate consent and must be easy to unsubscribe from.
