When is ESNS 2027 and where can you stay?
ESNS 2027 takes place in Groningen from 13 to 16 January 2027. Eurosonic runs during the first three days across multiple venues in the city. Noorderslag takes place on Saturday 16 January at De Oosterpoort.
You can stay directly in the centre or choose a quieter neighbourhood just outside it. Studio Timor is in the Indische Buurt, about eight minutes by bike from Grote Markt. It is a fully private stay for up to two guests, with free private parking and two bicycles.

Eurosonic, Noorderslag and ESNS: what is the difference?
ESNS is the umbrella name for Groningen’s showcase festival and music conference. Eurosonic focuses on emerging European talent and uses venues across the city during the first three days. Noorderslag closes the festival on Saturday and focuses on Dutch music.
For visitors, that means there is no single festival field where you stay all day. Many locations are in and around the city centre, making a bicycle a practical way to move between your accommodation, showcases and appointments.
Where to stay during Eurosonic Noorderslag / ESNS 2027
Staying in the city centre is convenient if you want to walk between venues and enjoy being in the middle of the event. The trade-off is that the centre can be lively during ESNS and city-centre parking is paid.
Staying just outside the centre can work well if you prefer a quieter place after a long festival or conference day. Studio Timor combines that quieter setting with a short ride: Grote Markt is about eight minutes away by bike. Travel time to individual ESNS venues varies by location.

In both cases, a calm private base can be useful. Studio Timor has its own entrance and bathroom, Wi-Fi, smart TV and coffee corner. There is no breakfast service or full kitchen, leaving you free to use Groningen’s cafés and restaurants for meals.
